And...I'm back!

It has been more than a month since I last wrote. Well, this time the reason was my Board examination. Today, they finally got over! And with it my Junior College years has come to a close too. How quickly time flies by; it just seems like yesterday when I entered Junior College! I'll be starting University in a span of barely three months! Yes, it is exciting but at the same time I'm a bit sad that I'm no longer a Junior College student because a Junior College student generally enjoys freedom minus tonnes of responsibility. Plus, I've had a great time in the past two years at St. Andrew's College. To be frank, I actually regretted taking admission there in my first year, but soon realized that it  was the place to be for my Junior College. The memories of St. Andrew's College are of a great importance to me, more than my school days! The years I spent at St. Andrew's has immensely contributed in making me the individual I am today; it instilled the virt...

A day to remember....

Image
Saturday happens to be my most favourite day of the week; mainly because it has got a fine balance of work and play, and also the day which proceeds it is Sunday. Everyone's idea of a perfect day varies, and in my case, it depends upon my situation and mood. Last week, due to the forthcoming Board exams, I had started to feel quite bored and fed up from the everyday monotony. All I needed was a good break, with people around! Hence, when a blogger's meet was announced, I didn't let the opportunity pass by. Meeting like minded-bloggers, singing a medley of my favourite metal and rock songs on the top of my voice, getting tonnes of pictures taken, and a lot more was what I did last Saturday. And the entire credit for my awesome Saturday goes to the one and only, Indiblogger who in association with HP and Otto Infinito, a Mediterranean restaurant, organized the HP connected music meet on Saturday, 16th February 2013. About Indimeets, one can never say; "Been there,...

V-day poem? Maybe!

So today is V-day; I'm not one of those who believe in it, and that you can conclude if you have read this post , and this post of mine. Nevertheless, I don't prefer spoiling mood of love-birds. Hence, a Happy Valentine's Day to all you folks. Also, after a long spell of lack of creativity, I finally wrote this poem titled:  "Dream turned Reality" On a cheery spring day, he saw her across the stream, laying nearby the bay, she was deep into a dream. Her visage embraced a frown, and that made the beauty look sad, hence, to see that frown up-side down, was the only wish he had. All of sudden an apple fell on her head, and with it she was awaken. Hurriedly she wrapped up her camp-bed, although she looked shaken. When she commenced to leave, he ran across to get near her, she noticed him and stared in a dis-believe, as everything to her seemed a blur. He heard a shout; "Wake up"! with it he was back in his r...

On My Playlist- Judas Priest

Image
Actually there is nothing on my mind except the stress for my fast-approaching boards, these days. Yes, what else can you expect from a person who isn't done preparing for finals which are just after a couple of weeks? Everything has taken a backseat, with laze being an exception. Seriously, neither I'm studying well nor doing anything productive. Each new days begins with me making ambitious plans for the day but as the day progresses, my plans sinks with it! Anyways, why should my load dampen your spirits? I'm back with What's on my Playlist and today it features " Judas Priest "! They are one of the greatest Traditional heavy metal band from the 70s. Although I don't listen to them as frequently as compared to Iron Maiden, I can never get enough of their songs once I start, especially the once that have been shared below. This band my folks, in my opinion, are one of the most perfect once; the vocals by Rob Halford are perfect and so is the music....

A tit-bit from the Dark months

Today I feel damn miserable; my plans are falling through! I never imagined having self-control would be this tough. Seriously, it is just the second day of my 'four-weeks and ready for boards' plan and it has failed big time! At this point, where my plans are going bonkers, I have no clue what strategy should I put at use. Maybe there is some fault in my plans? Maybe I'm making plans with unrealistic steps to achieve my objective? Maybe I have just become so lazy that I keep slacking things? Possibilities are endless you know. Plus, it is not only the matter of having turned into a couch-potato but also that I'm not able to concentrate! I realize that I'm doing nothing at this crucial moment when my peers are spending hours with books, cramming and perfecting themselves for the exams. No, I'm not at all comparing myself with them, not in the least bit because I know that I'm unlike them but, the guilt of wasting my time is what is actually bothering me. ...

Look what I made: Sweet Potato Fries

Image
Okay, I have been craving for a lot of foodstuff since past few weeks; first shortbread cookies, then pancakes and today sweet potato fries. And now you know why I made these sweet potato fries, this day. To be frank, I didn't expect my first attempt at making fries to turn out so good! No, I'm not boasting, they actually were fantastic and had the same texture as the shop bought once have. Well, I suppose the reason for that is soaking the sweet potatoes after cutting them in a solution of water and vinegar, and (or) re-frying the fries. On the bottom-line, I'd surely make these fries again. Yes, they are that delicious! The oil I used for making these french fries was Fortune Rice Bran Health Oil. You'd ask why specifically Rice Bran oil, the answer is most type of oil doesn't go too well with me. Either I use olive oil or rice bran oil, but people you can't really use olive oil for frying, it doesn't have a high burning point. Plus the new Fortune Rice...

On My Playlist- Led Zeppelin

Image
Finally, my preliminary exams got over today but, according to teachers and alike, this doesn't gives me a permit to chill out, instead it is just a reminder of boards lurking around like a blood-hound. Geez, all this stuff is too intense, eh? Keeping all of that aside, I'm utilizing today to take a break from all this boards humdrum. And this break comes in the form of listening to Led Zeppelin. I assume Led Zeppelin needs no introduction still, for people who aren't acquaint with rock; Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest rock band of all time and, along with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath forms the basis of the metal genre. Led Zeppelin is one of my favourite and usually after a hard or long or a really tiring day, I prefer unwinding myself by listening to them, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple and some Metallica. It's not that I don't listen to other bands, but I find myself going back again and again to these bands. Well, I suppose that is why we call certain thi...
