Street Photography - II

Image
I have been experimenting lately, with street photography. And as I just shoot with a point and shoot camera (Canon SX150 IS) on Aperture priority or Shutter priority, and without any device to achieve a blurred background, I am trying to incorporate other moving things to give the background a slight blur. You must have seen that in the previous blog post's picture "Anticipation". Here is an extension of that concept with more objects in the frame. Feedback and criticism would be appreciated. Thanks. "Frozen" taken at Fort, Mumbai. ***** Disclaimer: The picture used here is the copyrighted property of Aditi Pathak. The Concert at Kala Ghoda Art Festival

Image
It is Sunday today, exactly seven days ago happened a weekend which I haven't gotten over by now! Let's just break down that weekend into two parts, so that in this post I can talk about the amazing classical music concert that I attended, that musical concert which flagged the start of that lovely weekend. My first proper classical concert it was, expecting a low turn out for it, I went at a time which I assumed would ensure me a front row seat at the Asiatic Library steps (the venue); approximately half an hour before the scheduled time of 6'o clock and boy! How long the queue was! Composed largely of 20s-something people, the excitement they contained for the gig radiated from their faces. A long wait and finally the admission to the concert began and by the time I reached inside there were hardly and seats left! People had turned up in such massive numbers! A bit of adjustment on my part and some on the part of the people already seated freed up some space for m...

Look what I made: Eggless Bread Pudding

Image
....And this happened when my brother had this idea of soaking bread slices in sugar syrup, "Yes, it'll taste awesome", he said and I suggested using milk instead to add some richness. Well, this is one of the usual scenes from an average Saturday afternoon at our house; he gets a little over-ambitious in the kitchen and we either have a disaster or a winner. Today, he unknowingly pointed in the direction of bread pudding and that struck me as I was improvising his idea. He did go forth with his original  intentions and that did end up as a sickeningly sweet disaster but I got determined to try making a bread pudding, the recipe seemed simple enough and no special ingredients were required, in spite of those facts I messed up a bit by forgetting to add the vanilla essence! However, mom saved the day and hence, the flavour still was terrific. But again I hurried to demould the pudding and in that haste I broke the caramel  top. Sigh. But its taste that matters, right? So ...

Redbull Tour bus: The Flagship Gig

Image
October is turning out to be the most hectic month of this year, a spot which only June had reign upon until October kicked in with all it's might. It's just seven days into this month and I'm already overwhelmed by the workload. To be blamed, partly, is the internship. Although it's awesome and everything, as the main event NH7 Weekender is around the corner (18, 19 and 20th of October) it's getting all insane as we are pushing our limits. Plus, my exams have began! And as mentioned previously, I'm not enjoying the management course at all, hence basically I'm dragging myself to study for the sake of the huge amount of money which I have paid in the form of fees. Now back to talking about this month, well, there are a lot of events lined up...which you'd come to know as the month unrolls. Just last Saturday, I was in for the Red Bull tour bus gig that happened bang opposite Marine Drive! Yes, what more in the world would I want? Favourite bands on a...
