Weekend Fix: Of Soul And Symphony

Green Day rightly sang Wake Me Up When September Ends. At least, I feel like that this September. Mostly because the advent of this month has brought in an avalanche in my personal life. I won't disclose much; all I can say is that it has been an extremely testing first half of September. Emotionally, I have been a complete mess lately. And it wasn't until I had a catching-up session with a friend who has recently returned from U.S. that I stopped believing that I am having the hardest time. It was that realisation which pushed me from the path of wallowing in self-pity to the trail of reclaiming happiness.

Blogging is one of the key things which make me happy, no kidding. I love penning down my thoughts and dishing out little anecdotes along with stuff that makes me wonder-eyed. Weekend Fix is the result of that love; I'm planning for it to be a weekly (or monthly) writeup sharing the Watch. Listen. Learn. that made me break into that wide grin. So, let's dive into this weekend's fix...

Watch- TVF Tripling

It is no secret that I live for journeys. Hence, my watching a road-trip-based web-series on a rainy Sunday afternoon shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Now, TVF Tripling is something which made me laugh non-stop. Although a bit cliched (Think The Darjeeling Limited in the form of a road trip), the plot is still fresh and the dialogues are hilarious. The best part (or the worst, you decide)? The web-series is 5-episodes long, something which makes it perfect for binge-watching even if you don't have a lot of time to spare. C'mon, check it out already now!

Another thing I am a complete sucker for is reinvented Punjabi folk songs; I get eerily satisfied when I come across any of them done right. Imagine my delight when I came across Coke Studio's version of Laung Gawacha at 4 AM one night. Yes, you read it right, 4 AM! I have been listening to it non-stop for a few weeks now and I still haven't had enough. Do I need to coax you into hearing it anymore?

As I've already mentioned, I have been having a rough time. Meditation is a quick tool which assists me in clearing out my head and helps me regain some composure. Plus, it is a great way of taking stock of the situation. Funnily enough, if you'd asked me my views on meditation a few years back, I would've laughed in your face. And now, I'm always on the lookout for different ways to meditate! I came across this video on meditation for beginners and I have been itching to share it with you folks ever since.
