On My Playlist- The Unforgiven II

Image
Well, I heard this song on Monday and it has been stuck in my head every since! The Unforgiven II comes from the "Reload" album, and is the sequel of the song "The Unforgiven" by Metallica (which happens to be a song from my second favourite Metallica's album "The Black"), of course. Blame it on the not-too-great reviews of Reload, I never really gave the whole album a listen. To be frank, it has been a pretty long time since I connected with a song on an emotional level and this my folks, has struck that chord. Mostly when I listen to a song it is all about the music, not about the vocals. But when along with the great music the vocals are good plus the lyrics has a deep meaning it's an added bonus, and I have to admit this song has got a perfect balance. James' vocals really shines through. The music is not too fast or heavy, and the guitar's is really mellow, hence it happens to be perfect for non-metalheads too. Anyways, I

"Explore the world while you still can"

"Hey how about going to the museum?" asked I in an enthusiastic tone to a college buddy, "No, I am willing to spend my time at home" came back the reply, "C'mon it's just 2'o clock!" I said trying to get her interested into the scheme, and then the usual excuse was employed by her that lead to the end of the conversation: "I have a test tomorrow, in classes". Well, this is what usually happens with me, or for that matter of fact, with every enthusiastic person out there who is willing to explore the world around with some company. Yes it is true that nothing is as sweet than Home, a place where we sleep and can freely express ourselves in any sort of way (Yes, I'm referring to that Housing loan advertisement here). But again, the creator of this world or maybe nature, has created a natural habit for us called fondly as "Planet Earth" and we Humans created a four-walled box which we prefer calling as 'home'

One year down and still on!

So it was my birthday last Sunday (11/11/2012) and I'm updating about it today, after a week to be exact! I'm no longer employing my procrastination as a reason, just lack of some motivation. You know how these vacations are; you have time and that's why you tend to procrastinate, and the problem with working days is; you don't have time still you want to write! Now back to the birthday update thing, this birthday of mine wasn't exactly my best birthday ever but at the same time it didn't turn out to be the worst. No nothing bad happened, despite of that I didn't feel the 'happy-happy' Birthday spirit this time around. Everyone was joyous that day, tonnes of wishes for the day pouring in at every moment, yet I felt that the day wasn't an exception, just like a normal Sunday day to be precise. As this time around my birthday happened to be on a Sunday, I tried to turn the weekend into a 'Birthday weekend' by starting doing things that a

I have quiet a few things that I have been meaning to blog about since days but call it due to my habit of procrastinating stuff, it still hasn't made any appearance on this blog yet. Finally, I'm writing a blogpost on a thing I did last week (Sigh, procrastination is deadly I tell you!). Anyways, I baked out these perfect chocolate cookies last week. It materialized only because my Mom prepared some home-made unsalted butter (The butter the supermarkets in my area stocks is salted and making cookies with it results in salty cookies). I was a bit hesitant at first, after seeing the amount of sugar and butter that would go in but after a small debate with thyself, I started making them. Well, it took a few hours to see the end result which happened to be super-pleasing; as soon as they came out of the oven, they were being appreciated by everyone in my house. I guess I bored you enough with the background info, so now a bit about the cookies: Crispy, Crunchy and Chocolate-y! In

On my To-do: Eating many bowls of ice-cream simultaneously!

Hahahahaha! Okay, this advertisement makes me break out in a laughter. I have no clue how, but all I know is, I too wanna do this! I know you must be thinking that 'this girl is crazy' but I seriously want to eat that many bowls of ice-cream simultaneously. Of course if I can sport that 'Ravan' headgear, while eating that many bowls of ice-cream, it will be an added bonus! Anyways, this has become a to-do on my list now, so all I'm waiting for is the moment when this will materialize (and by that I mean the day when my Mom will make a few more tubs of ice-cream than she ordinarily makes, so that I can divide them into several bowls and tick off this to-do from my list). People say, 'everything happens in its own time'. Hence, I need to get done with my exams with my exams first, which are ending this weekend (yeppiii!!!). As of now I'm worried about my I.T. exam tomorrow. I need to get up early for it, so gotta go now. Till next, take care...

Book Review- The Krishna Key by Ashwin Sanghi

Image
Argghh, exams! Due to these exams which are taking forever to finish off, my to-read novels have been replaced by the course books. The book "The Krishna Key" which I was supposed to read and review within a week after receiving it took me around a month (approximately) to be done with. During my train travels I saw a lot of people reading this book and that made me more desperate everytime. I'm glad it somehow got completed because it seemed like an impossible task amidst this exam's humdrum. Enough said, now onto the review. So, the first thing I did after receiving it in the mail was reading the short summary on the back-cover (a thing which I supposedly do with ever book). The summary confused me a bit, confused in a good way. Because, since childhood I have been watching, listening and reading all the mythological stories and the story of Lord Krishna happens to be the one I have watched, listened and read pretty much a lot. The book, through its small summar
