NH7 Weekender Diaries: Day 3 (Finale)

Morning of Day 3 was the craziest and sickest thing that happened to me. I understand that after constantly working day-in-and-out and being sleep-deprived one is bound to get frustrated, but how dumb is it lashing out at an another individual? It is horrible, you know, being constantly humiliate; for trying to help others, for trying to co-operate, and heck even for demanding rights for self! Well, that's a precise summary of the scene that forenoon. And after spending three lovely days there, occurrence of something like this did ensure a bitter aftertaste.

There isn't much to talk about the performances of Day 3 because I couldn't watch bands other than Sky Rabbit, Pentagram and Karsh Kale + NH7 All Stars, although I did end up listening to a bit of Party Scribe in between as the stage on which they performed was diagonally opposite the Bacardi Stage. Pentagram's act was top-notch and a rare one too, as they rarely perform early evening! The crowd that had gathered during their's was humongous!

"Party Scribe"- I came across this when I was scanning the line-up way before Weekender and honestly, I was like "what?!" and I had exactly the same expression when Party Scribe put a new spin on Bollywood songs from 90s during their act. It was nostalgic and funny listening Party Scribe replace the word "Mehbooba" with "Meshuggah" in the song "Meri Mehbooba" from the film Pardes (Yes, I'm a 90s kid but somehow I grew up backwards in time and that's why I like all thing 70s and 80s).

Karsh Kale + NH7 All Stars marked the end of the Pune edition of NH7 Weekender 2013. But a strange thing happened just before the finale- it rained, unexpectedly! I might have mentioned in my Weekender Diaries previously that Pune's weather happened to be very warm and dry during my tenure there. It was an unexpected thing altogether. Anyways back to the music part; alike all the performance even the finale was splendid and mind-blowing. Twenty plus musicians including Papon, Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, Randolph Correia, Vishal Dadlani took over the stage along with the multi-instrumentalist Karsh Kale....what an amazing act it was!

Honestly, after the act which denoted the full-stop, I felt as if the world has come to an end. It was odd, very odd, for me to feel this way because of the optimistic outlook I have, yet it just seemed that way. Later on their was a jamming session near the Dewarists' Stage which I missed, due to busing myself in collecting souvenirs. And then there was an after-party too, but I slept during it (What could I do? I was tired and pretty burned out too!). As soon as the clock ticked five, a taxi had arrived to ferry us home and that was it...

  1. First off I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question which I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing.
I have had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there.

I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to figure
out how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Kudos!
