Just another shade of life...

She sat there in silence,
lost in her own thoughts as the world whizzed by.
For whose problems she always stood up,
but today, she wonders why.

As the people, whom she thought were life,
for which she kept sacrificing herself had finally shown their true shade.
She recalled her mother's words "Good happens with people who do good to others",
which she thinks just like other memories should fade.

Reflecting her mistake makes her question,
things went hay-wire only because she longed for "we"?
The fairy-tales heard in childhood always had a happy ending,
but was it only to make young girls jump with glee?

She had tried her best she recalls,
to keep her relationships tightly knit.
Its just life, she diplomatically tries to reason,
that makes people drift away and finally quit.

  2. You wrote of a feeling that we are all synonymous with. Sometimes we do feel lonely in spite of being there for each and every person. It just doesn't feel fair.
    You've written it beautifully :)
