Yet the Stereotyping saga continues...

Well, you can blame my sudden invisibility on this newly acquired habit of slacking off stuff. You can possible estimate this from the way I'm slacking off studying for my test tomorrow. Anyways, I currently am reading a book; Such a Long Journey by Rohinton Mistry. And the worst thing? I have turned so lazy that all I do is sleep in my free time. Hence, a person who usually finishes a good 500pages novel in a week's time is still on the 71th page. I hope this habit turns out to be a temporary one and I get done with it as soon as my exams are over.

Nevertheless, after I took a short quiz on the internet a question has been floating in my mind: Am I an introvert or an extrovert? According to the pointers, which were mentioned in a corner to help people make a correct choice, an introvert is a one who likes solitary activities and prefers to be alone most of the time whereas an extrovert is outgoing and adventurous. Frankly, I struggled to chose an option. Yeah, you know I am a fan of reading and prefer to be alone fifty percent of the time but also enjoy group stuff and open to new experiences. So to be precise, I'm completely puzzled on this part!

But soon, a new query replaced the existing one: Why stereotype? Anywhere you go, anything you do, anything you wear; be it school, college, workplace or any other social setting, you are definitely classified into a particular stereotype and labelled (or should I say nicknamed) accordingly! One one hand they say "Everyone is different in their own way" and on the other every move of yours is sufficient for people to judge and categorize you. So I wonder where does the freedom of action goes? You blame people's mentality for it but I disagree; it is the outcome of societal pressure, the crushing burden to be a part of the "normal" society and "fit-in" with your counterparts. Don't you think a fellow's individuality gets diluted by the labels?

Well, I'll leave you with that question to think upon. And as usual I'm typing this late-night, so I gotta go. Take care, will see ya soon....

Agreed. Don't judge a book by it's cover right?
Labels are stupid. People are so much more than what they show.

    1. 100% true, most of the people show a different face and are something else.
